Below are some programs available to kids interested in learning about STEM! From summer camps to afterschool programs, check here periodically to see what programs are currently available for STEM learning across Florida, in person and virtually!

UNC CHARLOTTE STEM PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM

Dates: 2023
Cost: $50

The Center for STEM Education at UNC Charlotte offers a STEM Pre-College Program to broaden the pool of traditionally-minoritized students pursuing mathematics, science, and engineering majors and careers. Students in grades 6-12 with interests in math and science are encouraged to apply.

The program consists of ten Saturdays during the academic year. Historically, participants engage in various hands-on-enrichment activities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Activities include: fIeld trips, lectures and demonstrations by UNC Charlotte Faculty/Staff/Students, robotics; math and science competitions, SAT/ACT preparation; STEM Fairs, Science Olympiad and more.

iD Tech

iD Tech, World's #1 Tech camp, has a wide array of technology education available to students age 7-19. With partnerships with over 150 colleges and universities, there are plenty location for students all over the country to be able to attend. Empowering and encouraging high school girls to be a part of the movement to increase female representation in STEM.

Since March of 2017, we have been developing dually-driven approaches in which we tackle both the attitudes surrounding women in STEM and also the limited opportunities available in high school, especially for girls. We support on several programs, including facilitating constructive discussions, bringing in guest speakers, and partnering with universities to match high school students with college students in a mentorship program.
